When I was a child we’d to amusement parks and there were Amazing and slightly creepy garbage cans and watering fountains. The watering fountains were lions and you drunk water out of their mouth.
The trash cans had faces for lids. When I was older I found a wooden version of one of these novelty trash cans in a specialty Antique/art store at the mall. I didn’t have the money at the time. It eventually did go on sale I wasn’t the one who got to buy it. I had always not regretted not buying it. Then last night I made cartoon novelty trash cans while they aren’t exactly like the one in the mall or from my childhood I realized I know had exactly what I wanted. I created it. It was satisfying.
There is a lot in life we can’t control but there also things we can create and make. We can share are art, are friendship.

Amusement parks are awesome! I love them, but unfortunately I have a tough time finding people that will go on the roller coasters with me.

I haven’t gone to Amusement Parks in years but I used to be a roller coaster Diva. :-)
What a lovely story behind your new comic art! I want a trash can like one of those!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your warm generosity in featuring my Abstract Molten Lava coaster - it was inspired by the lava flows in Hawaii :)
Wishing you a lovely day xXx
PZ welcome :-) and thanks the comics were so fun to do
ReplyDeleteVery cute and pretty designs Val! Bet kids would be more motivated to 'feed' the trash and recycle cans if they looked as fun as yours. :) Love your abstracts!
