Back to School, Toot your horn, Educational Gift ideas

Children will be heading back to school all over the US. I personally wish they offered 3 day school weeks and a part time homeschool plan. I think that would rock.

Educational Gift ideas

Learning should not be for school only. Education should start at home. It can be fun too. Here are some gift ideas learning. 1. Word games

2. Books

3. A trip to the school book fair or bookstore

4. A family library card, and a trip out to eat

5. Classic board games. Teaches turn taking

6. Puzzles make sure age appropriate

7. Educational music. They might be giants has a great one called Here comes the one to 3.

8. Instead of just buying video games why not buy educational video games.

    I'm thankful for books! I remember when I first discovered the joy of climbing into a good book and leaving the world behind for a while. I'm also thankful for my husband who I shared our 16 wedding anniversary with today. :)

    Congrats Itaya! My parents just celebrated their 38th yesterday too. We had Mexican food and I made a banana poke cake.
