Spring and Easter Crafts, Spring Artwork and Designs

Hello Everyone and Happy Spring! If you celebrate the Easter holiday, Happy Easter. Spring is just about here in the Pacific NW, USA. Our temperatures seem to be a bit warmer each day. Although I don't care for really hot temperatures, it will be nice to have things warm up some.

Each season brings fun craft projects to do with the kiddies. If you will be coloring eggs for Easter, take a look at the link above on the Frugal Girls site. They also have a page filled with more fun Easter crafts that could just as easily be used for spring time. Their site is filled with loads of fun. Visit this List of Easter Crafts and see if you don't end up staying for awhile.  :)

Now on to some Spring time artwork.

Kids Games and Crafts for Fall and Winter, Autumn Artwork Features

It's almost the end of summer and that always turns my thoughts to making things for the fall and winter season. Today I thought I would share with you a few cute articles and tutorials that will inspire you to make some fun things with your little ones.

Here is a fun game that is geared for Halloween but could be modified for any theme. It encourages kids to fine tune their motor skills. I found it on No Time for Flashcards which is a site that is filled with inspirational games and crafts for kids of all ages.

Here is another fun activity from this same site that will encourage your kids to go foraging outside as well as making a fun craft item for autumn. I'm thinking these could not only be used as place mats, but could also be hung as wonderful little works of art on the fridge.

I also came across this link on Pinterest that takes you to a list of over 75 Kid Approved Fun Activities that can be done anytime of the year. Now that link alone should keep you busy for quite a while being inspired with all the fun activities you can do with your little ones.

Now for some Autumn inspired artwork.

Valentine's Day Crafts, Valentine's Day Art, Create Your Own Tutorials

Valentine's Day is almost here and I've been inspired with a few tutorials and videos that I'd like to share with you.

The first tutorial comes from Grow Creative and is a Watercolor Resist Valentine's Card Tutorial.

This would be an awesome and easy project to do with your little ones or to experiment with yourself. You simply use a white crayon to draw and write your Valentine's Card and then fill in with watercolors for a really neat effect.

This video has more cute homemade Valentine's Day card ideas! Watch and be inspired to create your own version of these cute cards.

Next we have some Art Designs for this week's features. I thought I would stay with the Romance and Hearts theme.  :)

*AskaZombieHousewife Interviews 'Itaya'

AskaZombieHousewife interviews 'Itaya' of 'Itaya Designs',

She is my friend I’ve featured her before because I just think Itaya is an amazing talent.

*AskaZombieHousewife what is your favorite vegetable
- Hmmm...eat lots of veges but I think right now my favorite vege is Acorn Squash. Hope that is a vege because it is really good steamed and with a bit of butter and salt! :)

*AskaZombieHousewife when did you start doing art?
- I've always been very creative even as a kid. Would love learning new techniques and ways of creating something. I officially started painting in 1992 when I moved to WA state and had lots of creative time on my hands. I taught myself to paint by watching other artists and reading and following their techniques from books. Then moved on to the internet and started learning from artists there.

*AskaZombieHousewife Do you like cupcakes?
- Who doesn't like cupcakes??!! :) I love cupcakes and in a perfect world would live on nothing but yummy cupcakes!

Thank You!!
