The Muppet Christmas Carol

I want the Muppet Christmas Carol DVD for Christmas. It’s been the family Christmas movie for years. My lovely DVD got broken. My husband hinted it could be my Christmas gift. Yay!

Now I hear that Disney removed the song when love is gone in new versions. I loved that song. Sniff, Sniff. I still want this movie though. Why do I love the Muppet Christmas Carol?

1. Amazing music by Mr. Williams.

2. Muppets

3. Despite the movies wackiness. The Muppet Christmas Carol actually one of the more faithful adaption’s and keeps much of the beautiful original text.

4. The Genius of putting Dickens as a character to narrate the movie 5. The lessons of generosity and love.

6. It shows personally responsibility of giving not expecting Santa or charities to do it for you.

7. It shows forgiveness.

8. It seamlessly created a world where humans and animals/puppets co exist with believability.

  1. Oh thank you Val for featuring my Whimsical Bear Art Invitations design above! Folks can read more about this painting by visiting my Art blog at http://itaya.blogspot.com. Of course they can visit my Zazzle store by clicking on the image/link above.

Your lovely artwork looks so pretty on the laptop bags that Zazzle is now offering! I must get busy and make some of my own. Very nice.

I'm grateful for pretty golden leaves all around our home (even though it means more raking), the smell of wood smoke in the air, pumpkin spice candles, and knowing that I'll be visiting some of my family soon for the holidays! :)

  2. Thanks Val for the opportunity! Lovely art!

Award winning author Crystal Marcos has been a storyteller her entire life. Being the oldest of five children, she had a lot of entertaining to do. She is a member of SCBWI. Crystal lives on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington State with her husband and their daughter, Kaylee. BELLYACHE: A Delicious Tale and HEADACHE: The Hair-Raising Sequel to BELLYACHE make great gifts for a child ages 7 and up. Fun fantasy-adventures with life lessons.

  3. Why why do they insist on messing with the classics? Sorry to hear about your DVD. Though if you like a Muppet Christmas Carol, you may also like Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas. (I watch it every year!)
