Poem: Days of Gratitude: Promote yourself, art, wedding invite, more art

I decided to write a poem:

Days of Gratitude

We crawl in circles hands smudged with dust from under other people's feet

Repeating patterns

Instead we could be lifted by the words

of gratitude in our heart

thank yous that we have forgotten to say

and seeing the grass and butterfly wings

We forget to see all the good around us

we forget to be that good and crawl on

Tip for Zazzler designers

1. Buy your own art, postcards and photo prints are affordable and look amazing in a sample portfolio. You are running an art business.

2. Tweet or blog your products no one will no you have products if you don't tell any one.

3. Be-careful with key words while some words might technically be correct they might not fit your product.

4. Don't forget to promote during the summer. I can make this mistake big time. It doesn't mean you have to spend your whole summer promoting but a once or twice a month blog post might be helpful to you. If you plan carefully you can be more productive with your time.

5. Does your art fit the product. When I first started I put my abstract on everything. I realized that my art looked great on canvas, postcards, magnets but not so good on shirts.

Relationships not Bucket Lists

I am a checklist sort of gall. I use check lists sometimes because I will get distracted so sometimes I need to write a task out. But do we get obsessed with our bucket lists.

I had misheard my husband in church and I thought he said "people need to work on Relationships not bucket lists." He had actually said something else. I have lived a pretty full life. Tell a family member that you love them, make some art, give a hug, eat something you love, pray, meditate, dance and be. A lot of people fall in the trap of wanting things because we are told to want them even if those things aren't good for us.

mount What did you do this summer? I bought books and ebooks including a huge lot of a 100. I can't believe but I got them on my book shelf which is a big yay! We had a family vacation. I did some work on my shop. I worked on gratitude. I celebrated birthdays.

I have had friends and family publish books and ebooks. This fall I am working new educational plans and trying to come. I am getting ready for fall and Halloween.

Why we Need Home Economics Schools

Many Jr and High schools are getting rid of their Home Economics classes. Home Ec is one of the most important classes one can take. A lot of schools and educational experts talk about teaching life skills well home economics actually teaches life skills. Its not anti Woman both men and women need what home economics offers.

1. Technology can only teach us so much and I say that as a published ebook writer. I love technology but technology is not all there is.

2. It helps children and teens learn to take care of themselves as well family. Many boys and girls don't receive these important lessons.

3. Home Economics teaches math with measuring, check book writing and more. It takes math skills and gives it real world applications.

4. Home-cooked meal improves health and nutrition when more people learn to cook real food and eat less processed.

5. Some parents can't teach there children how to sew. Sewing can help save money, with clothes repair and even lead to job opportunities for some.

My first dealing with Crystal was when she ordered some of my zazzle art after following me on twitter. I bought her ebook Bellyache because it sounded really interesting and I wanted to read it to me kids. I loved it.

I lift some weights, 4 and 9 pounds are my walking weights. I use a large water storage jug that is over 45 pounds as my lifting weight. I also have a slosh tube. I do not think mixing cardio and large weights which is why I chose the bulky jug over a kettlebell. Its also way cheaper. I you want to start lifting 2 to 5 pounds is a good place to start. Make sure your movements are controlled and your wrists aren't to floppy. If you take a break longer than a couple of days you might want to start at a lighter weight first.
