30day weightlifting challenge
You can change your life in 30 days. I did yoga challenges, not buying anything. Yes, you can stop shopping. I started my shopping freeze not because I spent too much but I realized I had enough at that time. Some do the challenge. I want to start a thirty day weight lifting challenge. Only 9 pounds and its so doable Saturday and Sunday will be no weight day if I need a break. I don't have to do hours just 2 or 3 minutes if that's what I can get in. Now if don't have my weights I will do wall pushups and or add them.    Someday I will weightlift more than others. I will also challenge myself to drink a little more water. I only have soda if its provided with a Meal or its a special treat because I can over do it with soda pop.

Mother's Day, Weights, Gratitude Little Miracles, art

My kids made me awesome mother's day gifts, a book a calendar. It was lovely. My husband got me some cool things off of Amazon and they should come in the next couple of days.

weights With the help of my husband I made a slosh pipe for weight lifting. I sometimes call it a slosh tube. Its a homemade weightlifting PVC Tube partially filled with water. To save money we used a conduit pipe which needed cutting so the caps would fit. I wanted barbells but felt this was a better option because I don't have access to spotter during my prime workout times. I use a large container for weightlifting as well unlike a Kettlebell its odd shape keeps me from using it as cardio moves. Heavy weights like Kettlebells should be used with slow movements not cardio swings. I will be making my own ankle weights for leg extensions I watched some videos on YouTube and seem pretty easy to make. I won't make dumbbells though I have seen pretty awesome tutorials on making them from cement I would be scared of a big piece coming off. Dumbbells are pretty cheap. I am waiting on a 9 pound set to come today or tomorrow. It was a mother's day gift from my husband.

Write articles Squidoo or blog article, recipes, products, that can go along with the book. Link your book.

2. Interview other writers on your blog

5. If you’re self published Offer an older ebook title for free or for 99 cents to 2.99 on kindle.

6. Create your own Zazzle store with book cover to brand your book. You might have to make sure it’s okay with your publisher first.

8. Give out your own writing or art award. It can be a free icon on a blog, or an icon plus a mug or other trinket under $25 bucks.

Pies, Gratitude, Free Add art

Pies

I created an action plan last week to change up my life and cooking better is a big part of it. I talk about chraging up and changing up a life and wanted to do so. I made mini apple pies. I haven’t made a pie crust in years. They were good but the little ones didn’t like the raisons. I used this recipe but I used real butter not vegan butter. It’s the best recipe I found. http://www.noveleats.com/dessert/mini-apple-pies/ I added raisons.

I also didn’t do the top crust my one huge mammoth apple made too much filling and I wanted 8 small pies with the crust on top I could only do for. I also made mini Burgers aka sliders. I made my own rolls. I served carrots for veggies. I was going to try to cut them up but didn’t have time. My challenge to myself is cooking. I seem to always make the same thing over the last 3 years. I seemed to be in a cooking rut. The water pressure was super low later in the day.

The Thankful Heart Jar

I received a gift for my family this weekend. I received a pretty jar with a metal lid and small plastic bag of beans. Now this might seem like on odd gift but it’s actually a gratitude jar. You take a spoon and mention something you are thankful for and scoop it into the jar until full then you start over again. If you program computers I guess you could make a virtual jar.

The Muppet Christmas Carol

I want the Muppet Christmas Carol DVD for Christmas. It’s been the family Christmas movie for years. My lovely DVD got broken. My husband hinted it could be my Christmas gift. Yay!

Now I hear that Disney removed the song when love is gone in new versions. I loved that song. Sniff, Sniff. I still want this movie though. Why do I love the Muppet Christmas Carol?

1. Amazing music by Mr. Williams.

2. Muppets

3. Despite the movies wackiness. The Muppet Christmas Carol actually one of the more faithful adaption’s and keeps much of the beautiful original text.

4. The Genius of putting Dickens as a character to narrate the movie 5. The lessons of generosity and love.

6. It shows personally responsibility of giving not expecting Santa or charities to do it for you.

7. It shows forgiveness.

8. It seamlessly created a world where humans and animals/puppets co exist with believability.

I need to do a thankful post. There is so much I am grateful for. The last two years have been hard but I have been growing as a person and as a mother, wife and artist.

I love my family. What are you thankful for?

I am thankful for my husband, kids. I am thankful for god. I am thankful for sleep. I am thankful for art.I am thankful for water. I am thankful for air. I am thankful for music. I am thankful for hugs. I am thankful for days without homework. I am thankful when I just go out with my family. I am thankful for fairytales. I am thankful for ebooks. I am thankful for Zazzle to allow me to create. I am thankful when my husband cooks.

My art this is my whimsical art lately. These are what I called little known Fairy tales. There are more coming. One I am tweaking and another.
