Hello Everyone and Happy Spring! If you celebrate the Easter holiday, Happy Easter. Spring is just about here in the Pacific NW, USA. Our temperatures seem to be a bit warmer each day. Although I don't care for really hot temperatures, it will be nice to have things warm up some.

Each season brings fun craft projects to do with the kiddies. If you will be coloring eggs for Easter, take a look at the link above on the Frugal Girls site. Creative Designs,Writing for Profit, Article Suggestions, Topic Ideas,

Hello Everyone!

I've recently discovered a site that is very fun to write for if you like getting paid for article writing. It is possible that I'm one of the last people to hear about this site but maybe not. Feel free to take a look at Bubblews.com and see what you think. If nothing else, you might find some interesting articles to read.

The site is different from most sites I've written for in the past in a few key ways. Mostly, it is about connecting and making friends on the site so that your articles get viewed by others. Bubblews pays you for views, comments, and likes or dislikes for each article that you submit. Their rules are pretty simple and straight forward. They have zero tolerance for plagiarism so no copying and pasting even of your own articles you may have written elsewhere.

You can feature one or more photos in each article that is either your own or is a creative commons photo. The fun part is that your articles only have to be at least 400 characters (not words!) long. I haven't been able to submit an article yet that is that short but many people do just to get their article count up. I prefer to invest in the future and offer something in each article that might be of value in the future and not just for those friends that might click on the article initially.

I thought it would be fun to open up the comments section to ideas for topics that I (or anyone!)can write articles about. Altering Children's Board Books, Free PR Day, Featured Artwork and Designs from Zazzle

Hello Everyone,

Today I thought I would share something I've wanted to make with several possibilities of mediums to choose from. I know that most everyone is familiar with children's board books. They're the story books that are made from chip board and don't use paper for the pages. I've watched a few tutorials and thought this would be fun to explore here.

What would you use an altered board book for? You could use it as an art journal, a scrapbook journal, a photo album, or as stand alone artwork. The possibilities are only limited to the number of ideas you can come up with!

A few supplies you might need depending on the style you want to create are - board books (easily found at Walmart, Goodwill, Thrift Stores, your children's bookshelf, etc.), decoupage medium, glue stick, gesso, acrylic paints or distress inks, markers, pens and whatever else you like to make art and write with. I like using white gesso for the first coat on projects such as this as it is quite opaque and a few coats will cover up most anything. If you layer your paints, you might not mind if the images of the book show through your end design. I rather like the idea of incorporating the artwork on the book as part of the overall artwork myself. Keep in mind copyright issues and only use your design for personal use or gifts if you do incorporate the artwork in the book.

This not the last time I will talk about giving. People who give more are happier.

There’s a lot of misconceptions about giving. Rich people aren’t always greedy some were very giving before and after they give. People who give more end up more successful than those who don’t. (That’s not why you should give anyway but this was proven by a study that showed people who gave 10% of their income to charity were more successful than those who did not.) People often make comments "why isn’t a person giving locally." Most people I see who give overseas also give locally. You can do both.

People who give are more likely to be their community leaders no matter what party they belong to. The last myth is you have to be mega rich to give in the first place. There a lot of cheap ways to give.

1. Give to your church

2. Buy gum in coin operated machines sponsored by charities

3. Buy second hand clothes at charity thrift stores. Its good for the earth and can save you money.

4. Give without people knowing who you are

5. Donate your squidoo earnings to charity

6. Donate your time
