MY girls got to get an autograph and give a drawing to one of their favorite children's writer's today. My mom and sister came along and my mom says she had a great time even better than the kids. The kids had a great time. My oldest who hates to draw drew a cute drawing to give to the author.

4. You could get together with other people and donate $5 a month each to a local charity. Micro loans, for small business and education work better when you want to donate to other countries. This is so the money goes not to a bunch of overhead but to people wanting to change their lives.

Cheap Summer Treats

I am the resident cheap girl on this blog and this week I would like to tell you where and when to get your cheap summer treats. There are a few places and restaurants offering deals this summer, but do they all stack up to each? I love the dollar drinks at Taco Bell, but they are only available for that price from 2-5 pm each day. My favorite is the Ice Pink Lemonade is my favorite, but they have five or six different drinks to choose from. Mcdonalds and Burger King both have 50 cent soft serve cones this summer, after sampling the one at Burger King I must say they both taste pretty much the same. I don't actually frequent Mcdonalds, because the grease they use makes me ill and lets just leave it at that. The cone I received at Burger King appeared to be twice the size as the one on the mcdonald's adds and would be well worth a dollar or more. Taco Bell always has good deals and not just in the summertime, when I want a cheap meal that won't add too much to my bottom line. They have meals for 2.39, consist of a drink, your choice of four different tacos and a bag of chips. If you get the number three and a diet soda, it only has 450 calories. Treats at home are also great and good way to save money. We don't eat chips at home, we make popcorn with our Presto Maker and use coconut oil and sea salt to make it healthier. You can also make your own chips in the microwave, using a good slicer, spray oil and your own blend of spices. You place your sliced and sprayed chips on cooking parchment paper and cook them for 4 to 5 minutes or until slightly brown and crispy.

Happy Halloween, free ad Day, my thankful post,

Happy Halloween

I worked and uploaded some art today. I wore my Halloween costume to two parties before it disappeared. We had a mini Halloween party at home yesterday as well with candy corn, decorated soda bottles, and Pringles. I don’t buy soda that often. If I buy diet root beer I go through it like water. We mostly do punch. I wanted to decorate the bottles because I have scary labels and then reuse them as hand weights.

I am already in a thanksgiving mood and a Christmas mood. I am planning time the week of thanksgiving. My kids earn prizes from a treasure box. So I bought play money for a dollar last week and the girls are saving the play money for a surprise. I am still not sure I will do this but the kids love the school book fair but hated they could only buy one book. So I will buy some books, pens erasures lay them out with prices and they can buy them at their own book fair.

I told her what the item was. “What’s this?” she asked.
I said “Its French fries” She said “No its plastic.” She then started laughing.
