Christmas

Hope you all had a Happy and lovely Christmas. The day was just opening gifts. Watching my girls and my husband open up their gifts was joyous. I received more than I had wished for. The best gift was hanging out with my husband and girls. Grandma gave a book called the Princess and the Pig by Jonathan Emmett art by Poly Bernatene. While my girls love pretending princess the princess and the pig shows that sometimes being a princess isn’t such a great idea. They loved the toys, crafts, clothes, and just about everything. Grandma also gave me a lovely water color pencil art kit. I can also use it as an art Portfolio for my Zazzle products. I also received heartfelt thoughtful gifts from my husband.

I know blessed I am..... Thankful for family, God, art, games, food, hugs, spirit. My Art Homework mug

I have a lot to do in the next few day


I made a commercial for shop. Will be posting it in the next few weeks.
I updated my educational ebooks I wrote
I worked on behavior prize charts. I worked on some of my abstracts.
I am really excited about tomorrow’s Thankful Thursday Post.

My favorite vegetable is Brussel Sports- I know most people don't like them, but I love them with a little butter and Monterey Jack Cheese.

My artistic ability is a gift I was born with and I have always done art since I could hold a marking utinsel. I think God for this gift everyday.
I have never had any training in this field, and I draw and paint by moods so my art is mixed and I don't have a favorite medium. Sometimes I like to
do simple drawings and painting and other times I want to do more in depth painting.

I can not eat cupcakes because I am a diabetic and control it by diet, and I don't care for the substitutes I can have. I love to make cup cakes and decorate them.

I sold my first painting when I was 14 years old, A lady saw some of my paintings and wanted me to paint a picture of her daughter as a present for her husband.
I have done commissions for years, and I started offering my art on line at Zazzle in August of 2008. I like doing art this way because I get to keep my originals,
and can share my work with others.

The best thing about art is when it speaks to someone else, to hear someone else describe the way they see it.

AskaZombieHousewife interviews 'Itaya' of 'Itaya Designs',


She is my friend I’ve featured her before because I just think Itaya is an amazing talent.


*AskaZombieHousewife what is your favorite vegetable
- Hmmm...eat lots of veges but I think right now my favorite vege is Acorn Squash. Hope that is a vege because it is really good steamed and with a bit of butter and salt! :)


*AskaZombieHousewife when did you start doing art?
- I've always been very creative even as a kid. Would love learning new techniques and ways of creating something. I officially started painting in 1992 when I moved to WA state and had lots of creative time on my hands. I taught myself to paint by watching other artists and reading and following their techniques from books. Then moved on to the internet and started learning from artists there.

- Who doesn't like cupcakes??!! :) I love cupcakes and in a perfect world would live on nothing but yummy cupcakes!
